ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – St. Petersburg reaching a business milestone by creating its own Economic Development Corp. “St. Petersburg has had a competitive disadvantage,” said Mayor Rick Kriseman. But the city is playing catch up by opening its first ever EDC. “It says that we’re not willing to take the backseat to anybody any longer,” he said.

St. Pete’s First Central Tower has been ‘through a time machine’ — and it’s paying off
Check out the new photos! The $10 million renovation of First Central Tower in downtown St Petersburg is nearly complete! Redevelopment included an extensive lobby renovation, upgraded tenant floor elevator lobbies, tenant corridors and restrooms. In addition, we added an amenity package including a new concierge desk, a state-of-the-art luxury fitness center and conference center. In keeping with current office space trends towards hip, high-tech spaces, space on the third floor next to the new fitness center and conference center has been converted to a tenant lounge area. The lounge area is a 24/7 “chill zone” that has the look and feel of a first class airport lounge. It includes soft seating, large flat screen TV, iPad chairs and free WIFI.
We’ve also upgraded the building’s air conditioning system, modernized the elevator system and renovated the elevator cabs. The parking garage had its own upgrade as well with new lighting, paint and graphics.
